version will not dissapoint you!
This particular release contains a large number of new
features. Please take the time to look at the UPDATE.LOG file

the last official release!
One of the new features that you may be interested in is the
built in request processor! Now ALLFIX can handle all of your
file requests!

│ Updating from a previous version of ALLFIX
Those of you who are updating from a version prior to 1.10
build 5 should follow the following steps to update your
configuration:
1. Make a backup of your ALLFIX directory.
2. Run ALLFIX Bill.
3. Delete the STATFILE.* files.
4. Run ALLFIX Announce.
5. Run UPDATE to update your Magic filename configuration,
Hatch manager configuration, and your FileFind message area
configuration.
6. Run ASETUP Index.
Those of you who are updating from version 1.10 build 14 should
follow the following steps:
1. Make a backup of your ALLFIX directory.
2. Run UPDATE to update your FileFind message area configuration.
3. Run ASETUP Index.
4. Run FCOMP.
Version 1.10 and higher uses template files for all new file
reports and AreaMgr messages. If you are updating from the ALLFIX
for Dos version 4.20, then it is important that a special
directory be made for these template files. Please configure a
directory in ASETUP and unzip the TEMPLATE.ZIP archive into that
directory. This is automatically done by the install program.

│ Upcomming features
We have many many new features planned for future releases of
ALLFIX. It would be impossible to mention them all. However,
just to give you an idea of what we have planned, we will mention
one of our ideas. We are planning on adding extra support for
internet gateway programs to make it easier for you to integrate
ALLFIX with the Internet! Soon, ALLFIX will make it a piece of
cake for you to distribute your software via the Internet!
If you have any interesting ideas, please feel free to contact
us.
Again, thank you for selecting ALLFIX. We hope that you will be
satisfied with our product and our service. If you have any
questions, suggestions, or complaints, please feel free to contact
us our mailing address is listed at the end of the ALLFIX
documentation.
Thank you,
Harald Harms.
