  6.         Thank you very much for taking the time to evaluate and use
  7.         ALLFIX. We have done our best to make sure that this release
  8.         version will not dissapoint you!

  10.         This particular release contains a large number of new
  11.         features. Please take the time to look at the UPDATE.LOG file
  12.         for a full list of everything that has happend to ALLFIX since
  13.         the last official release!

  15.         One of the new features that you may be interested in is the
  16.         built in request processor! Now ALLFIX can handle all of your
  17.         file requests!

  21.       │ How install ALLFIX! v1.20 from the installation diskette:

  24.         Put the diskette in drive A
  25.  
  26.         type A:\INSTALL
  27.  
  28.         The install program will offer you the option of updating a
  29.         previously installed version of ALLFIX or installing a new
  30.         version on your harddisk. Please read the update notes later
  31.         in this document.

  35.       │ How to install ALLFIX! v1.20 from the distribution archive:

  38.         If you are installing this package from the archive distributed
  39.         via the BBS systems then type:

  41.         PKUNZIP -sFINALLY ALLFIX.120

  43.         * note: You must use PKUNZIP version 2.04 or later.

  47.       │ Updating from a previous version of ALLFIX
  48.  
  49.         Those of you who are updating from a version prior to 1.10
  50.         build 5 should follow the following steps to update your
  51.         configuration:
  52.  
  53.         1. Make a backup of your ALLFIX directory.
  54.         2. Run ALLFIX Bill.
  55.         3. Delete the STATFILE.* files.
  56.         4. Run ALLFIX Announce.
  57.         5. Run UPDATE to update your Magic filename configuration,
  58.            Hatch manager configuration, and your FileFind message area
  59.               configuration.
  60.         6. Run ASETUP Index.
  61.  
  62.         Those of you who are updating from version 1.10 build 14 should
  63.         follow the following steps:
  64.  
  65.         1. Make a backup of your ALLFIX directory.
  66.         2. Run UPDATE to update your FileFind message area configuration.
  67.         3. Run ASETUP Index.
  68.         4. Run FCOMP.
  69.  
  70.         Version 1.10 and higher uses template files for all new file
  71.         reports and AreaMgr messages. If you are updating from the ALLFIX
  72.         for Dos version 4.20, then it is important that a special
  73.         directory be made for these template files. Please configure a
  74.         directory in ASETUP and unzip the TEMPLATE.ZIP archive into that
  75.         directory. This is automatically done by the install program.

  82.         We have many many new features planned for future releases of
  83.         ALLFIX. It would be impossible to mention them all. However,
  84.         just to give you an idea of what we have planned, we will mention
  85.         one of our ideas. We are planning on adding extra support for
  86.         internet gateway programs to make it easier for you to integrate
  87.         ALLFIX with the Internet! Soon, ALLFIX will make it a piece of
  88.         cake for you to distribute your software via the Internet!
